01.19.24 Whale Counts

The ocean was teaming with life today! Started our trip out with an adult southbound Gray Whale that gave us some great looks before we made our way to the northwest and saw a first for the boats crew even: The largest pod of Rissos Dolphins we had ever seen! this pod was easily over 100 strong and these heavily scarred large dolphin spent the entire time right at the surface. Truly amazing. We then made it further northwest to catch up with a Humpback whale! there were a few common dolphin that guided us over and really could not have asked for a better day out on the ocean.
