02.26.24 Whale Counts

On todays trip we were so incredibly fortunate. There was so much life and glassy viewing conditions that made for an amazing day. We started out getting to come right into a giant mega pod of Common Dolphin, hundreds and hundreds of these playful animals swam right along side us. Then we decided it would be a good idea to move west out to the 9 mile bank. upon arrival we got to see 5 adult Gray Whales, all swimming hip to hip. These whales were snorkeling at the surface and never went down on a deep dive ensuring amazing looks.
