06.06.24 Whale Counts

Calm glassy conditions today gave us the perfect opportunity to make it to the La Jolla Canyon where we were so incredibly lucky! started off our trip with a spread out large pod of Common Dolphin, around 500. These dolphin played with the boat and even were doing a bit of feeding, an uncommon practice for our Common dolphin during the day. Then we were so fortunate to get to see around 4-5 Blue whales, the largest animals on the planet. Among this group of whales there was a cow/calf pair that we got amazing looks at. what a day of whale watching, and excited for more to come.
