6/15/2025 am whale watch “dinky minke” and bottlenose
During our whale watching trip aboard the Legacy, we were fortunate to witness a brief but exciting breach by a minke whale. Though the whale was shy and only visible for a short time, the sighting was a memorable highlight. In addition to the minke whale, we also encountered a playful pod of bottlenose dolphins, which added to the thrill of the day. Overall, it was a rewarding excursion with a mix of fleeting and lively marine wildlife encounters.
It was a nice day on the water. Hard to find whales but we saw 5 bottlenose dolphins twice. And we saw a minke whale. Some were lucky to see it breech out of the water. But then the whale didn’t show itself again.
