06.08.2025 AM whale watch

On a scenic whale watching trip departing from Mission Bay in San Diego, CA, passengers were treated to an incredible display of marine life. The highlight of the trip was the active presence of bottlenose dolphins and common dolphins, which were seen leaping and playing all around the boat. Their playful behavior and synchronized jumps created a lively, memorable experience for everyone on board. While no whales were sighted this time, the abundance of dolphins and beautiful ocean views made for a thrilling and rewarding excursion on the Pacific.

Sunday, June 8, 2025 morning cruise (10:00am to 1:00pm) was an exciting day on the water. The weather was cool in the mid 60’s with the marine layer lingering the entire trip. We viewed the California sea lions at the bait dock leaving Mission Bay. There were so many on the end of the bait dock. We were so lucky to encounter several different groups of dolphins. There were about 1500 common dolphins surrounding the boat in a feeding frenzy. The dolphins were joined by many sea birds diving in to feed in the same fish the dolphins were eating. We also encountered a small group of bottlenose dolphin that were all feeding. The passengers left smiling after engaging with marine mammals in their own habitat.
