06.09.2025 AM Whale Watch
What an awesome day out on the water! While we didn’t see any whales this time, we were surrounded by tons of action. We ran into several groups of common dolphins, and they were full of energy — swimming right alongside the boat and leaping through the waves.
Above us, brown pelicans were everywhere, flying in perfect formation like nature’s own air show. It was super cool to watch them glide just above the ocean.
Even without whales, the trip was packed with wildlife and great vibes. Can’t wait for the next one!
Monday June 9 am trip: It was a dolphin day in San Diego today. We headed north under overcast skies to connect with an actively feeding group of birds and common dolphin. As we observed this family pod, another family pod joined in the group swelling the total pod size to around 600 common dolphin. We headed west in search of larger whales, but encountered more dolphin instead. Two separate smaller pods of 50 dolphin each joined us and accompanied the boat back to Mission Bay
