7.1.2025 PM Whale Watch
We had a beautiful day out on the water aboard the Legacy, with calm seas and mostly clear skies setting the stage for a great trip. The highlights included two impressive humpback whales, a quick sighting of a minke whale, and an active pod of common dolphins that gave us a fantastic show as they raced alongside the boat.
While the weather was nearly perfect, the skies were full—not with clouds, but with hundreds of shearwaters soaring and skimming the surface, adding to the sense of ocean life all around us. It was a memorable day filled with exciting sightings and the kind of natural wonder that makes whale watching so special.

Captain Sean
The July 1 afternoon trip started out quiet. We came across a couple of small pods of dolphins and we stayed with them for a while. Then the captain located a huge flock of birds feeding. The terns, sooty shearwater, pelicans, gulls, and more led us to two feeing humpback whales! We got to see a couple of whale tails (flukes)! Then on the way back to the marina we came across a stealth minke. The seas were calm and the sun was shining and it was beautiful on the water.
