7.13.2025 AM Whale Watch

On our whale watching trip aboard The Legacy, we were treated to an incredible display of marine life. Early in the voyage, we encountered a nursing pod of common dolphins, a heartwarming sight as mothers swam closely with their calves, occasionally leaping playfully through the waves. Their graceful movements and tight-knit behavior gave us a rare glimpse into the nurturing side of these intelligent creatures.

Later in the trip, we came across a separate pod of bottlenose dolphins. These sleek, powerful swimmers approached the boat with curiosity, riding the bow wave and showing off with high jumps and spins. Their distinctive, more robust builds and dynamic interactions stood in fascinating contrast to the earlier pod.

The day was a perfect blend of calm seas, breathtaking views, and unforgettable encounters with two remarkable dolphin species.

It was a beautiful calm overcast day with glassy sea conditions. We entered a couple different species of dolphins (common and bottlenose) engaging in playful behaviors like tail slapping, leaping and riding the wake. We also spotted a couple mola molas
