10.13.2025 AM and PM Whale watch

After a long ride offshore through wind, waves, and classic Pacific fall weather, our persistence was well rewarded. Out in the open ocean, we encountered a spectacular scene: humpback whales and fin whales actively feeding alongside large groups of common dolphins. The water was alive with motion and energy, dolphins darted through the swells, shearwaters swirled above the surface, diving for sardines, and the whales surfaced with powerful blows amidst the choppy sea.

Despite the challenging conditions, the experience was unforgettable — a dramatic display of marine life working in harmony to feed in the rich, wild waters of the Pacific. It was a powerful reminder that some of the best wildlife encounters come to those who wait.
