Our boat trip was filled with energy and anticipation as we cruised across sparkling waters. Dozens of common dolphins surrounded us, racing the boat and leaping through the waves in an unforgettable display of speed and grace. Just as we scanned the horizon for more, word came of a humpback whale nearby—but it had just slipped into Mexican waters moments before we arrived. Though we missed the whale by a heartbeat, the thrill of the chase and the electric energy of the dolphins made the adventure truly unforgettable.
