05.28.25 AM Whale Recap
Our whale watching trip was filled with excitement from the start, with playful pods of both common and bottlenose dolphins swimming alongside the boat. The highlight came when we spotted a tall spout in the distance—clear evidence of a whale surfacing. We eagerly watched and waited, scanning the horizon, but the elusive giant slipped away before we could get a closer look. Though we didn’t see the whale up close, the brief sighting added a sense of mystery and thrill to an already unforgettable adventure.
Wed. morning, 5/28/25: Fairly quiet on the water today, winds were calm with gentle swells. We saw pods of Common (about 100) and Bottlenose (about 30) dolphin at different spots, with members of both pods taking time to surf in our waves.
