06.10.2025 AM Whale Watch
Calm, quiet day on the water under the marine layer for at least the first half of the trip, but as we saw birds diving, we were treated to Bottlenose and Risso’s dolphins swimming together. Although the Risso’s were moving more slowly, they started breaching, diving, and tail slapping, staying with the boat for quite a while. Groups of 5-6 beautifully synchronized as they gave us closer looks. On our way back, a large pod of about 400 Common dolphin swam with the boat, surfing in our waves. We saw one more smaller pod that was heading out, maybe to join the feeding party!
As always, you can book your trip here on our website or by calling us at 619-309-1680. We hope to see you soon! Caren, Volunteer Whaler, The Nat
