3.30.26 Whale Blog

Today was a great day! We headed out of mission bay on our morning trip, on our way to an area that has had activity in the last couple of days we ran into a pod of common dolphins and seabirds feeding on the bait fish below. They were in high spirits taking a break from their meal and showing off their acrobatics.

As we ventured further, we spotted a spout in the distance, right around the area we thought they would be in. As we got closer we quickly realized that it was a large fin whale also having his lunch! We were fortunate to get some awesome looks for a while with short dive times.
