06.02.2025 AM Whale Watch Recap

Monday June 2 AM Trip: We headed southwest from Mission Bay under a slightly overcast sky with minimal seas. The winds freshened offshore as we encountered a large pod (600+) of common dolphin and there were two fin whales joining in the feeding activity. One whale surfaced quite close to the boat with a lunge feeding move. We eventually located a third whale and had great looks at all three whales and the dolphin pod for over an hour.
