12.18.23 Whale Counts

Here aboard the Legacy we have been waiting a long time to say this, but today we encountered…ORCA!!! We got the report and went as fast as we could to the area to encounter 6 Killer Whales with 1 calf hunting common dolphin off the coast of Del Mar! It was a once in a lifetime trip, and something none of us will soon forget.
These Orca had been spotted for the last week moving down the coast to the south hunting dolphin, so we are optimistic they may be still in the area tomorrow.
