12.22.23 Whale Counts

With the looming clouds of Thunderstorms and potential choppy weather we made our way out into the open ocean…For a great trip! Only shortly into the trip we got to encounter a unique experience with a mixed pod of dolphin, our Common Dolphin and the seasonal and more rare Pacific white sided dolphin feeding on some anchovies close to shore. Put on an amazing show, diving and surfing and feeding while interacting with each other.

Just as all seemed hopeless when it came to seeing a whale today, our crewmember spotted a very large spout off in the distance. We were lucky to see the second largest animal on the planet and the fastest baleen whale : The Fin Whale. This behemoth was hungry today as well as it was following some of our dolphin for food and gave us some amazing looks.
Still room on our trips through the weekend,
As always, you can book your trip here on our website or by calling us at 619-309-1680. We hope to see you soon!
