06.23.2025 AM and PM Whale Watch

On our morning whale watching trip, we were thrilled to spot a pod of common dolphins right at the last minute, adding excitement to the end of our journey. In the afternoon, although we didn’t encounter any marine mammals, we enjoyed beautiful weather, calm seas, and clear skies—making for a peaceful and scenic outing. As always, marine mammals are constantly on the move, and every trip offers a unique experience on the water!

6/23 AM. The day started out foggy and the sun came out while we were out. We were treated to a large pod of common dolphins. Captain Sean made several passes and we were able to see dolphins all around the boat.

As always you can book your trip here on our website or by calling us at 619-309-1680. We hope to see you soon.

This is a summary of the morning Legacy trip on Sunday, June 22, 2025. We departed Shivers Basin at 10:00 with a nearly full boat under sunny skies. Once we entered the ocean, we encountered some mildly bouncy conditions. We headed west for several miles before finally locating an active pod of bottlenose dolphins, numbering perhaps 70 or so, much to the delight of our passengers. After spending some time with this pod, we altered course and headed back toward shore. Not long afterward, we found a pod of about 75 common common dolphins. We did see one blow out near the bottlenose, but were unable to locate the whale.
