01.15.24 Whale Counts

The animals were not “Lagging” today as we had an amazing two trips today. In the morning we were fortunate enough to get to see a pair of adult gray whales moving south to Mexico and one of the best pods of common dolphin we have seen in quite some time X2! first pod was spread out feeding on some bait fish, the second stampeding to the north tightly grouped together.
On our afternoon trip we got to see not just one, but THREE pods of our Pacific White Sided Dolphin or “Lags” (its short for their scientific name) on top of two juvenile Gray whales, including a known whale we have unofficially named Junior that has been residing off the San Diego coast for some time now. Junior wanted to say high and came closer than any Gray whale we had seen before. An amazing day of trips,
As always, you can book your trip here on our website or by calling us at 619-309-1680. We hope to see you soon!
