6.11.2026 PM Whale Watch
Today’s trip aboard the Legacy featured an exciting reunion with the same fin whale that has been frequenting our local waters. While getting incredible looks at this massive ocean giant, we quickly realized it wasn’t feeding alone. Joining the action was a younger humpback whale, taking full advantage of the abundant bait concentrated in the area. The scene quickly turned into a feeding frenzy as both whales worked through the bait schools alongside a large group of common dolphins. Dolphins darted in every direction while seabirds circled overhead, all capitalizing on the rich food source below the surface. Guests were treated to outstanding views as the fin whale and humpback surfaced repeatedly throughout the feeding activity, offering a rare opportunity to observe two different whale species sharing the same productive feeding grounds. Watching the second-largest animal on Earth alongside a young humpback whale, all surrounded by hundreds of dolphins, made for an unforgettable day on the water and a perfect reminder of how alive our offshore ecosystem can be.
