The Calm Before the Storm

Overcast skies and a beautiful ocean waited for us beyond the jetties of Mission Bay. Today were fortunate enough to find a pair of southbound Humpback whales early in our adventure and were able to join them for 5 miles of their migration down the peninsula. We were treated to quite a few close encounters and enjoyed the sound of their deep breaths and a couple high flukes as they slipped beneath the surface of the water. It is always an enchanting experience when we get to spend time with the whales through multiple dive cycles and truly get to appreciate their magnificent presence. Everyone stay dry and we will check in after our next outing on the water.
