06.20.2025 AM Whale Watch

This is a summary of the morning trip on Friday, June 20, 2025.

The skies were rather cloudy and the sea conditions were a bit choppy. We traveled west for several miles before encountering any marine mammal life. What we found was a pod of bottlenose dolphins! I estimate the size of the pod at 60-70. The pod was quite active, with many animals leaping and porpoising. A number of cow-calf pairs were observed within the group. We stayed with the pod for quite some time and it was obvious that our passengers were very excited and thoroughly enjoying their experience.
